Water ingress a worldwide issue!

One aspect of the exhibition highlighted the issue of water ingress from metal roofing penetrations. This is where Storm-Tite comes to the fore with it's unique domed washer that molds to the roofing profile. Roof penetrations can be caused by a variety of reasons, these are just a few:

• Incorrect installation and location of the fastener, e.g. missing the purlin.

• Installing solar panels

• Installing air-conditioners

• Installing wind generators

• Installing snow guards

• Installing safety harness anchor points

• Installing walkways on commercial buildings for maintenance purposes

• Wherever there is a roofing penetration that is not sealed.
